A topic for discussion (although probably trivial and admittedly hypothetical):
Since Jesus had no inherited sin nature through Adam, and since death is the consequence of sin, had Jesus not taken on mankind's sin, would he have been mortal in the flesh?
Yes, death is a consequence of sin. However, even those who don't sin suffer the curse. Animals do not trangress God's moral code, yet they are subject to death and disease. I don't know how this would apply to Christ, in that he was human and divine; and God supercedes the norm on occasion.
